A Three Day Workshop on the various versatile aspects of the computer programme on typesetting documents- LaTeX was organised by the Centre for Computer Studies from 4-6 January, 2016. Thirty one (31) participants including faculty members and research students from DU and its affiliated colleges and from NEHU, Shillong participated in the Workshop. In his inaugural address Professor Alak K Buragohain, Vice Chancellor emphasised on the importance of professional presentation of research findings for acceptance for publication in good journals. He thanked the organisers for coming up with the Workshop and hoped that such exercises be undertaken more frequently.
Professor Surajit Borkotokey, the Director of the Centre for Computer Studies extended a warm welcome earlier while explaining the objective of the Workshop. Professor Gopal Ch Hazarika, the founder Director of the Centre and Professor Jiten Hazarika, Dean, Students Affairs also addressed the participants in the inaugural session. Mr. Rizwan Rehman, Assistant Professor of the Centre offered the Vote of Thanks.
