A day long Awareness Programme on Entrepreneurship Development was organised by Equal Opportunity Cell of Dibrugarh University at Murkongselek College, Jonai on 23rd January, 2016 at Murkongselek College is the eastern most college affiliated to Dibrugarh University.
A high level team comprising of Dr. Paramananda Sonowal, Deputy Registrar (Administration), Mr. Deepak Doley, Assistant Professor, Department of English and In-Charge of the Equal Opportunity Cell organised the event.
The team also included Professor Ajanta B. Rajkonwar, Dean, School of Commerce and Management and Mr. Pankaj Borthakur, Executive Officer.Professor Alak K. Buragohain, Vice Chancellor, Dibrugarh University addressed the students and faculties of the college in the inaugural session which was also attended by the Principals and the faculty members of Moridhal College, Silapathar College, Jonai Girls' College and Jonai Science College. Professor Buragohain expressed his happiness at the sincere efforts made by the excellent team of faculties, staff and students under the able leadership of the founder Principal Dr. H.K. Pegu in building a beautiful institution in this remote and frontier area of the country.
Dr. H.K. Pegu, Principal of Murkongselek College in welcome address expressed deep appreciation of the initiative of the University through outreaching programmes like the present one.
In the main technical session Professor Ajanta B. Rajkonwar made a very interesting presentation in a simple and lucid language to the students about various aspects of Entrepreneurship development. A high point of her presentation was the case studies with success stories of young entrepreneurs of Assam and the Northeast.
