Shri Anjan Chetia, an employee of the Directorate of Distance Education Dibrugarh University brought laurels to the University by winning the Bronze Medal in the 7th International Karate Championship - 2016, organized by Shito Ryu Karate School of India in New Delhi, form December 26-30, 2016. Many contestants from nine countries of the world participated in the Championship.
