The newly constructed office of the Dibrugarh University Research Scholars’ Association (DURSA), was formally inaugurated on 25th January 2017 by Prof. Alak Kumar Buragohain, Vice-Chancellor, Dibrugarh University. He was accompanied by Prof. M. N. Dutta, Registrar, D.U. and faculty members of different Departments and Centres for Studies and other Officers of the University. The program started with the formal inauguration of the office followed by a brief lecture regarding the beginning of the association by Pranjit Kalita, Coordinating Secretary, DURSA. After that Prof. Alak Kumar Buragohain addressed all the research scholars and pointed out the importance of such association and also suggested few activities that the association should take in near future for the betterment of the University and the society as a whole. The entire meeting was hosted by Bhaskarjyoti Baruah, Research Scholar, Department of Sociology on behalf of DURSA.
