Dr. Hari Chandra Mahanta joined as the Registrar of Dibrugarh University after the results of the Selection Committee was passed by the Executive Council Meeting on August 7, 2018.
The former Registrar of the University, Professor M.N. Dutta, formally handed over the charge to the newly appointed Registrar in a meeting held on August 9, 2018, at Chintan, the conference hall of the Office of the Registrar. Dr. Binod Borah, Joint Registrar (Academic) gave a welcome address followed by a felicitation from Dr. Paramananda Sonowal, Joint Registrar (Administration). The Director, College Development Council, Deputy Librarian, Joint Controllers, Deputy Controller and other Senior Officers and the employees of the University Administration also participated in the meeting.
Prior to joining as the Registrar, Dr. Mahanta served as the Controller of Examination of the University.
