The Centre for Juridical Studies of Dibrugarh University observed the Constitution Day on 26th November, 2019. The Chairperson of the Centre, Dr. Rupam Saikia, administered the recital of the Preamble of the Constitution and delivered a talk on the Constitutional values, Morality and Constitutionalism and also recalled outstanding Contributions of a few leaders of the Indian National Movement in drafting the Constitution.
An eminent and senior advocate of Dibrugarh Bar and Hon’ble member of the Executive Council of Dibrugarh University Mr. Ashim Kr. Dutta, addressed teachers and students of the Centre and also those present and in his illuminating and highly motivational speech, he critically dealt with certain important issues for protection of enriching values of the Constitution .
He also threw light on the Procedural laws of the land and with his highly professional approach and insightful orientation to understand relevance of the same he further emphasized on cultivating traits of advocacy. Dr. S. S Das, a faculty of the Centre also shared his views on Constitutional dynamism and importance of Law Day in the context of the day.
