Dibrugarh University celebrated the 71st Republic Day in a colorful manner. Professor Ranjit Tamuli, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor hoisted the National Flag and Dr. H.C. Mahanta, Registrar hoisted the Dibrugarh University flag and took the salute. Professor Ranjit Tamuli, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor addressed the gathering. The March Past competition cum demonstration was displayed by the students of the neighboring schools and the Security personnel of the University. During the programme, a patriotic Song was sung by students of Dibrugarh University. The students who brought laurel to Dibrugarh University in various national and inter university level events were felicitated for their outstanding performances by Professor Ranjit Tamuli, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, the Registrar and other dignitaries present. Special demonstration programme of Karate skills and Self defense techniques have been demonstrated by the students of Dibruagrh Shotokan Karate schools of India. Later, on the day, a friendly cricket match between the VC XI and Registrar XI was played in the university Ground.
