The Department of Anthropology, Dibrugarh University, Assam organized a Distinguished Lecture Programme on 16th October 2019 in the Conference Room of the Department of Anthropology, Dibrugarh University to Celebrate the Hundred Years of Post Graduate Teaching of Anthropology in India.
Prof. Ranjan Deka, Department of Environmental Health and Director, Division of Epidemiology, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Cincinnati, USA, an alumnus of the Department, delivered a talk on ‘Identifying a Novel ‘Thrifty” Gene Influencing Human Obesity, Anthropology Epidemiology and Genetics – The Samoa Adiposity Study’.
