Dibrugarh University Mourns the Death of Professor Inamul Haque

The Dibrugarh University community deeply mourned the death of Professor Inamul Haque, Retired Professor and Head of the Department of Chemistry, Dibrugarh University who passed away on February 2, 2014. The Dibrugarh University fraternity has paid rich tribute to Late Professor Haque in a condolence meeting held at the Office of the University Administration. Born in 1939 at Amguri, Sivasagar, Dr. Haque had his early education in Amguri and graduated from Cotton College, Guwahati. He secured first class first position in M.Sc. in Chemistry from Gauhati University. He was awarded the Ph. D. and DIC by the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, University of London. He joined the Department of Chemistry at Dibrugarh University in 1968. He served as the Head of the Department and retired from the University in 2002. The demise of Professor Haque, who was a father figure in the University, is an irreparable loss to Dibrugarh University and to the academic world.
