Thirteen Students of the Centre for Studies in Physical Education and Sports of Dibrugarh University, accompanied by two faculty members participated in a Fifteen Day Adventure Sports Training Programme at Manipur Mountaineering and Trekking Association from 10th March to 24th March, 2014. The main objective of the Training programme was to improve the leadership quality and all round development of the students. This is for the first time that the DU students have been trained in Map reading, Trekking, Climbing, Parasailing, Boating, Mountaineering and Rock Climbing, Jungle survival, Solo Nights and various types of rope notes. They were also given training on Disaster Management and First Aid. During the programme Mr. Deban Mohan, one of the Dibrugarh University students was declared as the best trainee.
