World Environment Day, 2014 observed by Dibrugarh University

Like the other part of the world, Dibrugarh University also observed the World Environment Day. The day begins with the plantation program organized by Dibrugarh University Research Scholar’s Association (DURSA) in the Dibrugarh University Premises. The Vice-Chancellor of the University Prof. Alak Kumar Buragohain, initiated the plantation in the presence of faculty members, research scholars and students. The University also organized popular lecture on climate change for the young students and a plantation program in Puhari Khania village which is a associated village of Dibrugarh University. The Ladies’ Club of Dibrugarh University also organized an art competition for small children in the evening.
